Mission Statement
Circus World Museum collects, preserves, and interprets archival material and artifacts relating to the history of the American circus. To achieve that mission, the museum:
- Maintains and operates a circus museum and library and research center.
- Encourages an appreciation of the historic role of the circus in American life through educational programming, including the presentation of live circus performances during spring and summer months.
- Presents educational outreach programs.
- Sponsors or conducts research in circus history and disseminates the results.
